Structure and Management

The Wool CRC is an unincorporated joint venture. The Parties involved in the CRC are CSIRO through the Divisions of Animal Production (DAP) and Textile and Fibre Technology, Agriculture Western Australia (AgWA), the The Woolmark Company through the Australian Wool Research and Promotion Organisation (AWRAP), and the Universities of Adelaide (UA), New England (UNE), New South Wales (UNSW), and Western Australia (UWA).

A number of other organisations or companies are involved in the activities of the CRC as Supporting Parties. Included in this category are NSW Agriculture (NSW Ag), the National Council of Wool Selling Brokers of Australia Ltd. and the Australian Wool Testing Authority Ltd (AWTA). The New South Wales and Western Australian State Governments and the George Aitken Pastoral Research Trust have also made substantial cash grants for capital equipment purchases specifically related to the activities of the CRC.

The CRC management includes a Board, an Executive Committee, a Commercialisation Committee, Director, Program Managers and Project Leaders (Quantitative Genetics, Wool Strength, Fibre Structure, Education Program, Sheep Transgenesis).
