This slide demonstrates how much money in terms of mill efficiency can be caused by fibre breakage embodied as loss in H and increase in Noil.

Even very small changes in Hauteur or Romaine can have quite significant financial implications in the processing mill.

Some illustrative figures are given in this slide.

The mill manager needs to have a good understanding of fibre properties and fibre machinery interactions to successfully run a processing plant. The manager could also be helped by understanding how to achieve less fibre breakage.
